Reviewing ePortfolios

This was a great week.  I really enjoyed exploring another DLL student's portfolio this week.  When I was looking through the examples of the different portfolios on the list, I ran into a name of a former coworker that I worked with in my district a few years ago, so I chose her portfolio to review this week (https://mrshahndaydreams.blogspot.com).   First thing, I enjoyed seeing what she has been up to educationally since she left CISD.  We are friends on Facebook and connect to each other personally, but we have not spent much time on the topic of work or our career.
I am using Bulb as my digital portfolio and recently ran into a hiccup with the blogging portion of these assignments and wasn't sure if Bulb would have what I need for the courses in the upcoming months.  I reached out to our instructor about it and one of the suggestions is to start a blog and link it into my Bulb Portfolio. The thought of this made me nervous, but I wanted to be sure that I was doing all of the tasks correctly for the program.
When I went through Rhoda's portfolio, I noticed that she too used Bulb as a portion of her portfolio and a blog for the other portion.  I think that is the way that I am going to go and I was glad to see an example of this very thing.  After reviewing the portfolio, I reached out to Rhoda to ask a few more questions about her larger sections of the portfolio.....why did she organize them the way she did? What did she find worked the best?  She said that as she built her innovation plan, the larger sections became really apparent.  This helped me realize that I think I do want to rearrange how I have sectioned off my portfolio, but I don't know if I am in a place to change them now.  I think I want to wait until I know more about my innovation plan before trying to restructure. Understanding more about the trajectory of the courses will help me better structure my portfolio to match what I need to match.
